GRC Mouldings and Castings

WilsonStone is the leader in South Africa in GRC mouldings. GRC is glass reinforced concrete, where glass fibre is used to reinforce concrete, thereby making it lighter and stronger. Ideal applications include facades, window and door surrounds as well as string courses, copings and cable ducting. Garden pots and Benches also make excellent candidates for GRC. Because GRC is lighter than precast concrete it is easier to install and handle on site.

The fibre used in GRC is developed to withstand the high alkalinity in cement, which enables GRC to last as long if not longer than precast elements. The fibre re-enforcing in GRC will also not corrode like steel, and would therefore last much longer than steel re-enforced precast elements, particularly in harsh coastal areas or industrial applications.
